Mission

Establish and manage effectively a planning and progress control system to support the Project Manager's decision-making process, ensuring project completion according to internal baselines and contractual requirements. Ensure deviations from plan are promptly identified and analyzed, with corrective actions monitored. Foster a schedule awareness among all project participants.

Tasks

During the commercial phase:

  • Develop the project schedule according to commercial needs, verifying feasibility and criticality.
  • Participate in commercial risk management activities.

At project start-up:

  • Implement the Planning and Progress Control System as per contract complexity, risk, and duration, aligned with the Project Breakdown Structure, Company Standards, and Contract specifications.
  • Coordinate with other functions and discipline leaders to build activities, assign milestones, and establish logic networks.
  • Prepare baseline documents and communicate scheduling requirements clearly.
  • Issue relevant reports and procedures, including Planning & Scheduling, Progress Measurement, and Risk Management Plan for verification.
  • Organize risk management activities, including brainstorming and risk assessment.

During project execution:

  • Ensure the effectiveness of the Planning and Progress Control System, monitoring progress and information flow across all phases.
  • Update schedules with actual data, evaluate forecasts, and monitor deviations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain risk management processes, organize meetings, and verify feedback.
  • Keep records of significant events using company and partner IT systems.
  • Create and maintain a 90-day look-ahead schedule, issuing weekly and monthly reports, and alerting the PM to adverse trends for corrective actions.
