- Collaborate with project managers of at least 8 to 10 projects and procurement teams to forecast material needs based on upcoming projects and current inventory status.
- Utilize inventory management ERP/SAP software to track stock movements, generate reports, and provide insights to improve inventory turnover.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution processes of materials, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and prices while maintaining strong relationships for timely deliveries.
- Train and supervise inventory staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in inventory control and documentation.
- Develop and enforce inventory management policies to minimize losses and reduce waste in the construction supply chain.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and forecasts for management review, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Implement lean inventory practices to enhance efficiency and reduce carrying costs while ensuring project requirements are met.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Any Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management in UAE within the construction or related industry is essential.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and tools, with a strong understanding of ERP systems.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
