Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the F&B service staff, ensuring service standards are met and maintained.
- Welcome and seat guests, take their orders, and provide menu recommendations.
- Oversee the service flow, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of food and beverages.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor and ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar, and service stations.
- Assist in training and motivating staff to provide exceptional service and uphold standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Manage cash and credit card transactions, guest checks, and billing processes.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate menu specials, reservations, and events.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Participate in menu planning and development, providing feedback on current and potential new items.
- Work with the management team to implement promotions, events, and marketing initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regular guests, providing personalized service.
- Train and develop staff, focusing on service skills and product knowledge.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff development.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation standards, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager or management team.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role within fine dining or upscale hotel environments.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills aimed at delivering exceptional customer service.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations with composure.
- Proficiency in handling cash transactions and using POS systems.
- Flexible schedule, including availability in evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality management is a plus.
