Job Purpose

To manage the 3rd party direct or indirect cost of procurement activities as assigned across the Group. This includes providing an excellent, professional sourcing and procurement service to all parts of Air Arabia Group, delivering value for money, service, and quality from the most suitable suppliers. Act as a middle point between suppliers/vendors and internal Air Arabia Group management and departments to ensure satisfactory agreements.

Key Result Responsibilities

  1. Take responsibility for financial performance against plan and develop initiatives to reduce spend (Indirect or Direct). For IT procurement, oversee sourcing projects involving software, hardware, and maintenance.
  2. Coordinate strategic approach to overall spend with stakeholders and advisors.
  3. Develop and update strategies to shape and optimize cost categories, including running tenders for categories like Marketing, HR Insurances, Professional Services, etc.
  4. Meet procurement needs at optimal cost and quality, manage contracts, review supplier performance, and ensure savings.
  5. Maintain procurement standards and collaborate with other procurement teams within the company.
  6. Stay informed of business developments affecting procurement and work with business units to understand their needs.
  7. Monitor market developments and develop plans to leverage opportunities.

Additional responsibilities include promoting procurement best practices, applying appropriate procurement processes, benchmarking, vendor negotiations, contract management, and handling insurance-related procurement issues.

Profile description:

Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Management or equivalent, with relevant experience. MCIPS desirable. Excellent communication, reporting, and advanced Excel skills. Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Work Experience: Minimum 5 years in procurement roles across various functions, including IT/professional services sourcing, preferably in an international or fast-evolving environment. Experience with vendor negotiations, contract management, and procurement in an airline or similar sector is preferred.
