General Purpose
The Director of Employee Relations, Employee Engagement & Communications is responsible for shaping and delivering a dynamic and inclusive employee experience that aligns with the organization’s culture and values. This role leads the strategy and execution of internal engagement initiatives, employee communications, and recognition programs to foster a positive, connected, and high-performing workplace. Reporting to the Executive Director of People & Culture, the Director serves as a key partner across departments, ensuring that all internal messaging, events, and employee relations efforts are cohesive, impactful, and aligned with organizational goals.
Essential Duties & Tasks
- Plan and execute all internal engagement events, from small-scale activations to large-scale celebrations
- Communicate company initiatives, policies, compliance campaigns, and milestones through innovative and engaging formats
- Approve and manage budgets for engagement campaigns in collaboration with the Executive Director of People & Culture
- Lead quarterly management meetings, celebration events, and spontaneous appreciation initiatives
- Oversee the creation and distribution of internal communications across various media (written, visual, multimedia)
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive internal communications and engagement calendar
- Manage departmental HR matters including employee recognition, redirection, and discipline
- Assign, monitor, and review all departmental events, campaigns, and projects to ensure timely and budget-conscious execution
- Conduct regular team meetings to align Events and Communications teams and ensure seamless collaboration
- Represent the department in property-wide initiatives and cross-functional projects
- Partner with HR leadership to anticipate and support communication needs across programs and initiatives
- Collaborate with department heads to assess project needs, propose solutions, and ensure execution aligns with Wynn standards
- Develop, track, and reconcile the department’s annual budget
- Lead and manage special projects as assigned
Job Requirements
- Excellent communication skills; Able to communicate, read, and write in English fluently and in a professional manner
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources, Marketing, Events, or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role preferably
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of graphic design principles and software for print, digital, and social media (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of event planning and logistics, from basic programs to large-scale formal events
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on department needs
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
