About the role

The Global Marketing Manager plays a key role in developing the overall category strategy and global innovation pipeline, focusing on MENARP & Africa. The role involves interaction with Consumer & Insights, R&D, Shopper Marketing, Finance, and Country Marketing teams to develop the innovation pipeline and guide global team structures to bring products to market. The manager also influences country teams to scale innovation platforms globally.

Close collaboration with Regulatory and Legal teams is essential to ensure portfolio readiness for current and future needs.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop, recommend, and lead strategy and innovation workstreams for future brand segment growth.
  2. Create segment-level innovation plans based on strong consumer understanding.
  3. Collaborate with R&D and CMI to develop product and positioning plans, testing with consumers to validate the pipeline.
  4. NPDs/EPDs
    • Draft and deploy product development briefs with global R&D, Supply, Sales, and Finance.
    • Conduct consumer and market surveys to identify trends, generate ideas, and develop concepts supporting product development.
    • Coordinate with market teams on brand learnings, new projects, and market understanding.
    • Ensure timely, within-budget development and successful launch of products.
  5. Identify and implement profit-enhancing ideas for the brand, managing the brand within strategic guidelines to maximize long-term profitability.
  6. Manage market research projects to gain consumer and customer insights, translating these into innovation plans.
Experience required
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Outstanding marketing skills in brand building, activation, digital marketing, and product sustainability within an FMCG environment.
  • Proficiency in consumer insights and analytics, with the ability to turn data into strategic insights.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and marketing processes, with commercial awareness, P&L management, and a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to craft compelling brand stories and drive marketing innovation.
  • An MBA in Marketing & Sales is preferred.
