Job Purpose
Functional responsibility:
Implement the vision, business, and marketing strategy through:
- Define vision for the business portfolio and build associated 5-year strategy;
- Supervise future product launches to maximize return on investment;
- Deliver cross-functional communication to leverage internal resources to achieve unit and revenue growth targets, integrating activities from R&D, health economics/reimbursement, Regulatory, clinical, operations, sales, and marketing to ensure successful industrial and commercial launches.
Major Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with the company's code of conduct and ethical standards; interpret and enforce company policies and procedures;
- Define strategies and visions, including Business, Marketing, Clinical & Reimbursement, and Industrial strategies;
- Understand current and emerging therapies, technologies, patient pathways, healthcare environments, and market dynamics through participation in scientific congresses and networking, especially with physicians and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs);
- Develop strategic roadmaps for various product lines;
- Promote cross-functional collaboration within and outside LivaNova;
- Manage investments by monitoring execution, applying appropriate processes, and collaborating with start-ups and internal teams;
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary activities around technology development to ensure project success;
- Analyze and develop business cases with Finance to assess ROI;
- Translate investments into growth by executing marketing plans, including Voice-of-Customer, product definitions, launch and communication plans, and educational events;
- Participate in Medical Advisory Boards to gather customer insights;
- Work with experts to define go-to-market parameters like reimbursement, pricing, segmentation, and positioning;
- Partner with sales and marketing teams globally to execute product launch plans effectively.
Ideal Background
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sciences, or related fields.
Languages: Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
Experience/Professional Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the medical device industry, including marketing and participation in new therapy development and launch;
- Technical marketing expertise (product development, launch, KOL management);
- Ability to analyze technical, clinical, and scientific data;
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams (Regulatory, Clinical, etc.);
- Financial data proficiency;
- Strategic thinking and marketing strategy development skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Self-motivated, proactive problem solver, quick to act, and a strong team leader.
