Job description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Mechanical Technician with a background in submarine systems. This hands-on role involves providing crucial technical expertise, assisting with the drafting of manufacturing requirements, and contributing to the overall success of innovative platform development.

Responsibilities

1. Generate detailed CAD drafts and technical drawings based on design specifications.
2. Provide practical support to workshop activities, including proficient tool handling and assembly of mechanical components.
3. Utilize basic CAD design skills to contribute to the development and refinement of mechanical systems.
4. Effectively communicate technical needs and requirements to relevant stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
5. Proactively follow up on lead times for materials and components, ensuring project timelines are met.
6. Advise the Mechanical Design Office on the technical feasibility and manufacturability of designs.
7. Assist in the creation of documentation and specifications for manufacturing processes.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician.
2. Demonstrable background and experience working with submarine systems or related marine technologies.
3. Proficiency in CAD drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
4. Hands-on workshop experience with a strong understanding of mechanical assembly and tool usage.
5. Basic CAD design skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
