Job description

Urgently required for a reputable automobile spare parts trading company based in Jebel Ali Dubai male Accounts Officer. He should have a minimum of 10 years of working experience in a big reputable company having a turnover of a minimum of AED 100 million.

His responsibilities are as follows :

  1. Manage and maintain accounting records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and other financial data.
  2. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly.
  3. Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide insights and recommendations to the Finance Manager.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and ensure the accuracy of information.
  5. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  6. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecast.
  7. Provide support during audits and tax preparation.
  8. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
  10. Process accounts payable and receivable, depending on role.
  11. Utilize database software to organize financial account information.
  12. Handle account inquiries from internal and external sources.
  13. Make regular contact with clients to ensure payment.
  14. Ensure company financial accounts, such as credit cards, are paid on time.
  15. Perform internal audits on financial activities as necessary.
  16. Review both incoming and outgoing invoices.
  17. Generate financial reports for review by regulatory authorities.
  18. Maintain and review financial records.
  19. Ensure compliance with accounting and tax laws.
  20. Monitor expenditure and profits and provide reports.
  21. Evaluate internal management systems, procedures, and risks to provide recommendations.
  22. Manage business accounts and prepare financial statements.

Accounting Officer Requirements :

  • A degree in accounting or similar.
  • Previous working experience as an Accounting Officer.
  • Knowledge and competency in accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in management systems.
  • Sound interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
