Job Title: Civil Lab Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Lab Technician to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Civil Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in conducting various tests on construction materials and ensuring the quality and safety of civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with the site team for daily inspections and arrange third-party/DCL testing accordingly.
2. Witness tests on-site with third-party labs in coordination with the Consultant Engineer.
3. Handle samples in DCL/Third-party labs.
4. Collaborate with subcontractors and labs for test reports.
5. Maintain testing logs (e.g., FDT Concrete) daily.
6. Record daily concrete pouring activities on-site.
7. Ensure laboratory testing as per standards and requirements.
8. Assist QA/QC Engineer with daily NMR/MIR inspections on-site.

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a civil engineering laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in using various laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering materials and their properties.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and safety protocols.
• Ability to use data analysis software and prepare technical reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and measurement accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications in laboratory testing procedures (e.g., ACI ASTM) are preferred.
• Understanding of civil engineering principles and construction materials.
• Willingness to work in both laboratory and field environments.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and samples as needed.
