Job Title: Learning and Development Senior Manager

Department: Learning and Development

Location: Dubai, UAE

Reports To: Learning & Talent Management Director

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Development Senior Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide thought leadership in developing and curating skills taxonomy, learning curricula, and conducting learning needs analysis. They will design and facilitate training sessions and workshops and work closely with vendors to articulate learning needs and select the best-fit programs. Additionally, the role includes accountability for ROI on learning initiatives, budget management, and reporting. The Learning and Development Senior Manager will strategically align learning initiatives with the company's business objectives, ensuring that all programs support the overall goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Skills Taxonomy Development: Develop and curate a comprehensive skills taxonomy that aligns with the organisation's strategic goals.
  • Learning Curricula: Design and develop comprehensive learning curricula that address the identified skills and competencies required for various roles within the organisation.
  • Learning Needs Analysis: Facilitate thorough learning needs analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for employee development.
  • Training Design and Facilitation: Design and facilitate engaging and effective training sessions and workshops, both in-person and virtually.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors to articulate learning needs and select the most suitable programs and solutions.
  • ROI and Budget Management: Measure the return on investment (ROI) of learning initiatives, manage the learning and development budget, and provide regular reports on the effectiveness and efficiency of programs.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to support their professional growth and development.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of learning and development professionals, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A degree in Adult Learning, Learning and Development, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Coaching Experience: Proven experience in coaching and mentoring employees.
  • Skills: Strong consulting and business partnering capabilities, excellent communication and interpersonal and facilitation skills, instructional design, project management, data analysis and proficiency in using e-learning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of learning and development best practices and trends.
  • Has a strategic mindset with the ability to align learning initiatives with business objectives.
