The Role

We are seeking an established Executive Director, Environment & Waste & Resource Recovery, to manage this sector globally. Multiple office locations are available, ideally based in Australia, Singapore, Middle East, India, or UK.

You will shape the strategic direction of the Environment & Waste Sub Sector within the Infrastructure + Energy business, overseeing profit and loss, capability development, resource mobilization, and client relationships. Your leadership will ensure alignment with SJ Group's vision and values, driving growth through project performance, client management, and stakeholder collaboration. Upholding ethical standards, you will lead by example and contribute to the organization's success.

Candidate Requirements

• 20+ years in the industry with proven success in senior management roles focused on environment, waste, and resource recovery.
• Consulting experience is highly regarded.
• Strong strategic thinking, business development, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing large projects, client relationships, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline; postgraduate and project management qualifications are a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and market trends.
• Excellent communication skills, including negotiation and resolution of complex technical, commercial, and personnel issues.
