We’re on the lookout for a strategic and results-driven Head of PR & Communications to lead our public relations strategy and drive impactful media exposure for our expanding portfolio of B2B events. This is a key leadership role within our Marketing team, responsible for ensuring compelling, consistent, and quality editorial coverage that enhances event visibility, strengthens our corporate brand, and ultimately boosts both visitor and exhibitor engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and implement a robust PR and communications strategy for all MFME events, working closely with the wider Marketing team.
• Own the planning and execution of press releases, media briefings, and press conferences across the year, ensuring alignment with show drop schedules and campaign timelines.
• Craft key messaging for each exhibition and ensure consistent implementation across all PR and corporate communication touchpoints.
• Serve as the primary liaison with our external PR agency, driving performance, offering clear direction, and taking corrective action when needed.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with key media outlets, industry representatives, government entities, and trade press to maximize event and brand coverage.
• Drive effective barter partnerships with media to secure high-value pre- and post-event editorial exposure.
• Oversee and manage the onsite press office during exhibitions, ensuring seamless coordination, media hosting, and high-impact coverage.
• Provide strategic media coaching and messaging support for senior Messe Frankfurt spokespeople, including Q&A documents, speeches, and media briefing materials.
• Support Frankfurt-based events with regional press release distribution and media support when required.
• Lead the development of an annual corporate communications program in collaboration with the CEO and Group Marketing Director to position MFME for future growth.

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of 5 years of PR and communications experience, with at least 3 years in the Middle East market.
• A proven background in managing PR agencies and media relationships.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
• Experience in the exhibitions or events industry is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in PR, Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, business writing, and strategic planning skills.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and an ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
