Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Category Manager CPG to oversee the performance, distribution, and growth of Calo s in-house CPG product portfolio. This role will own the full lifecycle of the category from coordinating with internal production to managing distributor relationships and overseeing outbound logistics.

The ideal candidate will combine category and product expertise with operational coordination and a strong ability to manage supply chain partnerships.

Main Responsibilities

Category Strategy & Growth

  • Work with Calo Market EIR to define and execute the strategic roadmap for Calo s CPG category, including assortment planning, performance tracking, and innovation alignment
  • Analyze consumer trends and competitive landscape to guide new product development and category positioning

Production & Operations Coordination

  • Work closely with Calo s in-house kitchen and production teams to align output with category demand, product launches, and inventory needs
  • Manage daily and weekly logistics between Calo s production facilities and distribution partners, ensuring timely and efficient transfers
  • Resolve any operational bottlenecks or delivery issues that impact category performance
  • Identify, source, and onboard third-party distributors and retail partners across markets
  • Lead commercial negotiations on distribution agreements, pricing, delivery terms, and volume commitments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, ensuring compliance with brand standards and operational KPIs
  • Manage the category s SKU mix, pricing strategies, and lifecycle decisions based on data and customer insights
  • Partner with marketing and retail teams to plan promotions, launches, and merchandising strategies across distribution channels

Product Creation & Data Entry

  • Input all new CPG items into internal systems with complete metadata, including:
    • Product name, description, category, ingredients, allergens
    • Nutritional information (macros, calories)
    • Pricing and imagery
  • Ensure all listings are up to date, accurate, and customer-ready

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track key metrics including sales volume, margin, stock levels, fulfillment rates, and distributor performance
  • Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA is a plus)
  • 4 6 years of experience in category management, logistics, or distribution, preferably in the CPG or food & beverage sector
  • Hands-on experience managing both commercial and operational aspects of a product line
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes between production and distribution
  • Excellent negotiation, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Data-driven with strong analytical and Excel/BI tool proficiency
  • Passionate about health, wellness, and scaling impact-driven products
  • This role requires some travel to GCC regions where Calo operates
