Are you an experienced automotive professional with a passion for leadership and customer satisfaction? We are seeking a Workshop Supervisor who can ensure the efficient and high-quality execution of service operations, while leading a team of technicians and service staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences. This position plays a vital role in upholding manufacturer standards, optimizing workshop efficiency, and maintaining safety and documentation standards.
I. PurposeTo supervise and coordinate workshop operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, optimal technician productivity, and adherence to manufacturer standards, while maintaining customer satisfaction and a safe working environment.
II. Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities Workshop Operations & Quality ControlManage and control the distribution of work to technicians to maximize workshop efficiency.
Ensure all repair documentation is accurately completed in compliance with company and manufacturer requirements.
Maintain high standards in general workshop appearance and safety.
Team Supervision & DevelopmentLead, motivate, coach, and support a team of technicians and service personnel to meet daily and long-term performance goals.
Identify training needs and coordinate upskilling for the team in line with the latest service techniques and technologies.
Evaluate team performance and submit regular reports to the After Sales Services Manager.
Customer Service & SatisfactionMonitor and improve Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores to exceed manufacturer national averages.
Address field complaints and resolve customer issues efficiently to maintain service excellence.
Coordination & CommunicationLiaise with the Parts Department to ensure timely availability of required parts.
Coordinate tool procurement with the Procurement & Stores Department for new vehicle servicing.
Assist in the preparation of service activity reports for management.
Warranty Compliance & DocumentationEnsure strict adherence to manufacturer warranty and franchise service standards.
Maintain accurate time control records with assistance from the Time Controller.
Deliver vehicles in clean condition (interior and exterior) with basic mechanical checks completed (e.g., fluid levels).
III. Position Qualifications DescriptionMinimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the automotive industry.
Basic mechanical knowledge and vehicle handover standards.
Strong ability to lead a service team in a fast-paced environment.
EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
Certification(s)/Training(s)Technical Diploma or equivalent certifications in automotive service or related field (required).
LanguagesFluency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
Computer SkillsProficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, service reporting tools).
Equipment KnowledgeSkilled in using workshop communication systems (telephone and service management software).
