Responsible for managing the EYE network infrastructure and services, including LAN, WAN, campus, voice, video, Wi-Fi, and Internet. This includes configuration management, availability, performance, capacity, provisioning, de-provisioning, upgrades, maintenance, support, consumption, change, asset, compliance, integration, incident resolution, documentation, and reporting on all KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs.
Accountabilities
- Ensure that the infrastructure technology lifecycle aligns with organizational and service provider changes. Maintain a deep operational understanding of current and emerging technologies. Ensure operability and interoperability within Service Management and IT Operations based on infrastructure changes.
- Maintain and improve service quality to meet or exceed service levels through continuous performance reviews.
- Manage SLAs, KPIs, and OLAs with customers and external providers. Oversee service provider performance, assessing quality and value.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and industry standards within IT Operations.
- Validate and align consumption with contracted and approved levels.
- Collaborate with business and Digital Technology stakeholders to manage and report on services.
- Monitor and ensure suppliers meet obligations; address poor performance through performance monitoring and corrective actions.
- Investigate network and communication issues, diagnose problems, and resolve according to standards and procedures.
- Ensure network services meet or exceed requirements, maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Carry out tasks and procedures efficiently to meet service or operational agreements, and record service level data for KPI measurement.
- Assist in network problem investigations, propose improvements, and participate in system performance reviews and system upgrades.
- Review records to ensure issues are managed per standards, escalate as needed, and respond promptly to escalations.
- Proactively identify and address IT Operations risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, address service challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
- Assist in capacity planning, utilization monitoring, and system change management, including participation in CAB meetings.
- Prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost tracking.
- Proactively manage network infrastructure to prevent problems and ensure service continuity and resilience.
- Manage voice and data network operations to ensure service integrity and performance.
- Design networks for resilience, regularly test plans, and ensure network services meet SLAs.
- Lead continuous service improvements for networks, voice systems, and third-party infrastructure.
- Provide timely and accurate reports, documentation, and dashboards to senior management and the business.
Education & Experience
- 7-10+ years of experience in network infrastructure support and management.
- Experience with Cisco switches and routers preferred.
- CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certifications are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure and protocols.
- Ability to implement, manage, and troubleshoot network devices.
- Quick learner with good documentation and internet research skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven knowledge of networking technologies, architectures, and ITSM tools, with a good grasp of ITIL processes.
