Job summary

Job description

Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks. Reports directly to the Supervisor for all aspects of aircraft, facility, tool and equipment, and administrative requirements.

Also responsible for:

  1. Assisting the maintenance supervisor in accomplishing the company's mission.
  2. Performing inspection, servicing, and repair of aircraft and equipment in accordance with applicable technical publications and local policies and procedures. Ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
  3. Imparting knowledge of duties and responsibilities through advice, support, and on-the-job training to facilitate the training of customer technicians, enabling them to attain full maintenance capacity.
  4. Completing all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with DA PAM 738-751, applicable technical publications, and local policies and procedures.
  5. Performing rated and/or non-rated crew member duties as requested, such as Maintenance Test Flights, Maintenance Operational Checks, and operation of diagnostic equipment during ground and/or flight (subject to completion of a flight physical).
  6. Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Lead.

Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or industry equivalent. High School Diploma. Graduation from military or commercial aircraft maintenance or airframe repair school or course preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of aviation maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic on the aircraft type.
  • Thorough knowledge of the use of common tools, special tools, test equipment, and aviation ground support equipment used in performing maintenance on relevant aircraft.
