Senior level Systems Administrator responsible for systems administration tasks associated with the day-to-day technical operations of the customers Network Control Center.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

1. Provide administration, installation, operation, and maintenance on all USAFCENT-supported networks and support day-to-day technical operations of the network control center (NCC). This support includes working with USAFCENT NOSC to integrate deployed locations' local networks into the USAFCENT Enterprise Network, supporting organizational client system technicians on LAN and PC issues, and collaborating with other agencies to deliver required services.
2. Engineer, install, and maintain network equipment to support new and emerging requirements.
3. Provide responsive services including real-time network configuration, network restoration, quality control, performance standards, status reporting, master station log (MSL), and other actions as per policies and operational procedures IAW the SPIN-C.
4. Support all NOSC-deployed projects.
5. Maintain a help desk IAW the SPIN-C and local procedures, acting as the first support level for desktop and network issues. Tasks include:

• Systems management, monitoring, and sustainment.
• Hardware repair for PCs and peripherals.
• Assist base users with software installation, maintenance, and sustainment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant guidance, directives, CTOs, NOTAMs, and instructions.
• Use Remedy for issue reporting and tracking related to network and system operations.

Material & Equipment Directly Used

Basic office equipment.

Working Environment

• Climate-controlled facility; outdoor temperatures may exceed 100°F.
• Support during non-traditional hours, including nights or weekends, may be required.

Physical Activities

Must be able to lift/push/pull 40 lbs unassisted.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• U.S. Citizen
• Active Secret Tier 3 (or higher) Security Clearance
• Must possess IAT Level II Certification AND one or more of the following:
• MCSA-Windows Server 2012/2016 or newer
• MCSA-SQL Server 2012/2014
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• AND one or more of the following:
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) - Core Infrastructure or Data Management and Analytics

Experience / Skills:

• 6 years of experience in designing, maintaining, and operating small to medium networks; managing user accounts, mail servers, web servers, firewalls; reviewing and recommending software; hardware management; systems management; hardware repair; software installation and maintenance.
• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting military networks, including Microsoft Enterprise Server 2008/2012 or later, Windows OS, Exchange 2010/2013 or later, Active Directory 2008/2012 or later, network backup, DHCP, DNS, WINS, and domain controllers.
