Job description

Job Summary
The Piping Supervisor will oversee the installation, fabrication, testing, and maintenance of piping systems in compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international safety regulations. The role ensures that all piping activities are executed efficiently, safely, and within schedule while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Supervision & Execution

  • Supervise and coordinate piping construction, fabrication, installation, and testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC, ASME, ANSI, API, and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Oversee hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, and NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) activities.
2. Planning & Coordination
  • Review isometric drawings, P&IDs, and piping layouts for accuracy and constructability.
  • Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) to avoid clashes.
  • Ensure materials received meet Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and project requirements.
3. Quality & Safety Compliance
  • Implement ADNOC HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and ensure a zero-incident work environment.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure proper welding procedures (WPS/PQR), flange management, and bolt torqueing as per standards.
4. Inspection & Reporting
  • Monitor welding, fit-up, alignment, and supports to prevent future failures.
  • Maintain daily logs, inspection reports, and punch list clearance.
  • Report progress, delays, and non-conformities to the Construction Manager.
5. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
  • Identify and resolve piping issues (stress, corrosion, leaks) during construction and commissioning.
  • Ensure proper insulation, coating, and cathodic protection as per project requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of piping supervision experience in oil & gas (preferably ADNOC/SHELL/ARAMCO projects).
  • Strong knowledge of CS, SS, GRE, and alloy piping systems.
  • Familiarity with ASME B31.3, B31.4, API 570, and NACE standards.
  • Certifications in OSHA, NEBOSH, or IOSH are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDMS, or SP3D is a plus.
