Job description

1. Business Development

Improve sales strategies, execute business development, meet with customers, and introduce the company. Proactively generate sales to meet assigned targets.

Understand customers' business needs, shipment patterns, cargo details, shipment frequency, volumes, and trade lanes.

Regularly follow up with customers for additional business based on potential and explore leads from other divisions.

Respond to incoming queries and ensure timely resolution of services.

Calculate and submit freight quotations/proposals with the support of the Sales Support team, follow up on quotes, and secure bookings. If business is lost, provide reasons for the loss.

Coordinate with clients during the bridging period before signing contracts to initiate relationships. Brief the internal team before operationalization begins.

Submit daily Sales Reports to the Sales Manager, detailing customer information, business scope, potential volumes, and shipment modes.

Attend weekly sales meetings to discuss lead progress, new business, concluded deals, lost business with justifications, market information, and trade analysis.

Participate in trade exhibitions and promote the company's presence through distributing promotional materials such as brochures and business cards.

2. Job Management

Plan jobs, collaborate across departments, and coordinate to ensure high-quality delivery.

Upon booking confirmation, complete credit documentation as per agreed terms and forward it to the Credit Department for approval via the Sales Manager.

Ensure smooth workflow and handover of job files to the Sales Support team for briefing Customer Service.

Follow up on payments and assist the credit control team in collecting dues and outstanding amounts from clients as per credit terms. Escalate issues to the Sales Manager and Finance if needed.

3. Relationship Management

Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers to achieve high customer satisfaction and retention, leading to increased sales revenue.

Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution and contribute to quality improvements for all assigned accounts.

Maintain a database to monitor business progress, customer acquisition, reviews, competition, and potential clients.

Enter all new customer data and sales information into the company's CRM system and keep it updated as per policy.

Monitor and report on market and competitor activities, providing relevant insights.

Keep customers informed about market trends and service updates.
