Roles and Responsibilities
- Review assessment commentary and approve master plan design deliverables during all project stages (Vision, PCMP, Framework, CMP, DMP).
- Liaise with authorities to ensure timely approvals.
- Develop RFPs and design strategies for master plan projects.
- Create land use datasets considering traffic networks, open spaces, real estate trends, and product updates.
- Understand land use and product potential, including revenue generation.
- Coordinate with internal teams across disciplines relevant to master planning (feasibility, architecture, infrastructure, delivery).
- Manage in-house design teams and deliver feasibility projects aligned with management expectations.
- Review master plan deliverables and ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi Department of Municipality and Transportation (DMT) planning requirements.
- Engage with internal departments like procurement, marketing, and sales for feasibility and planning tests.
- Coordinate with consultants to analyze land use projects and recommend adjustments.
- Present master plans to senior management and leadership as needed.
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Master Planning, or Urban Design.
- Master's degree in Urban Design or related fields (preferred).
- Master's degree in Landscape Architecture (optional).
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- 15-18 years of experience in master planning and real estate across various asset classes.
- Leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams.
- Expertise in planning, architecture, infrastructure, transportation, project management, procurement, and commercial functions.
- Extensive experience from visioning to detailed master planning stages.
- Knowledge of land use complexities and revenue potential analysis.
- Proficiency in urban design and master planning best practices and trends.
- Strong time and design management skills.
- Proficiency in design tools like CAD, Adobe Suite, and report writing.
- Experience with landscape architecture and public realm concepts.
