Job Overview

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial and treasury operations across the Real Estate, Vacation Homes, Travel and Lifestyle, and Contracting departments. This role involves managing financial processes, treasury activities, and ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, as well as adhering to governmental licensing and PRO requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial management within the real estate industry, coupled with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Job Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Financial Reporting and Control

• Oversee the preparation of detailed financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses for monthly business reviews.
• Prepare monthly consolidated financial reports.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of external reports, such as landlord Statements of Account (SOAs).
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within the property portfolio.
• Handle budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Ensure timely payroll review and completion of WPS and journal posting requirements.

Treasury and AML Compliance

• Manage banking relationships, mandates, OTP management, and fund movements.
• Oversee liquidity and cash planning to ensure sufficient cash is available to support business operations.
• Ensure full compliance with AML regulations to enable smooth banking operations and fund flow.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Maintain an insurance policy register and ensure sufficient and appropriate coverage for company assets and employees.
• Ensure financial transactions are managed within the Delegation of Authority (DOA) limits.
• Ensure that all mandatory company compliance matters are up-to-date, including licensing renewals, ESR, AML reporting, tax registrations, and employee visa renewals.
• Oversee timely compliance reporting, including VAT reporting and ESR.
• Manage PRO activities to ensure all compliance requirements are met on time.

Team Leadership

• Review payroll and ensure all WPS and journal postings are completed on schedule.
• Support the Head of Finance in leading and mentoring a high-performing finance team.
• Act as the technical accounting center of excellence for the department.

Key Performance Metrics

• Revenue Growth Rate:Measures the year-over-year revenue increase across all departments.
• Net Profit Margin:Indicates overall profitability by showing the percentage of revenue remaining after all expenses.
• Budget Variance:Assesses the gap between budgeted and actual financial performance to identify areas needing attention.
• Return on Investment (ROI):Evaluates the profitability of investments across all departments.
• Regulatory Compliance Rate:Tracks adherence to local financial regulations and standards to ensure legal compliance.
• Employee Satisfaction Score:Measures team morale and engagement within the finance department.

Qualifications

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
