What's the role

The Senior Specialist - Project Transactions plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day accounting and controlling of projects, including associated accounts payable, capital expenditures, and accounts receivable transactions. This position requires a detail-oriented partner to assist the project controlling team in ensuring accurate and timely accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. Other responsibilities include:

  1. Timely processing of client and vendor invoices while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Participating in discussions with project managers and FP&A team regarding project budgets and expenditures.
  3. Ensuring all capital projects are properly documented and accounted for according to company policy.
  4. Performing monthly closing activities.
  5. Managing accounts receivable balances from customers and minimizing outstanding receivables.
  6. Preparing financial statements under local GAAP and/or IFRS.
  7. Accounting for prepayments, accruals, and financing activities.
  8. Improving internal reports and analysis to help management understand key events and trends in CAPEX and expenses.
  9. Monitoring and analyzing expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to budgets.
Requirements

Who are we looking for

  • Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting transactions and operations, with at least 2 in a senior role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
  • Self-starter with solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience working in a multinational company is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Dynamics365 would be advantageous.
