Department: Corporate Governance / Legal & Compliance

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Reports to: Manager Compliance and Governance/General Counsel

Position Summary:

The Senior Governance Officer will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of the organization’s corporate governance framework. This role ensures alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and international best practices, while supporting the Board of Directors and senior leadership in maintaining robust governance structures across the company and its subsidiaries.

  • Assist in establishing governance structures for subsidiaries and joint ventures.
  • Ensure consistency of governance practices across the group and track compliance status.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Policy, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as ICSA, CGI, CCEP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 3–6 years of progressive experience in corporate governance, preferably in real estate, investment, or regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of UAE regulatory landscape including the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), ADGM, DMT, and Companies Law.
  • Experience supporting Boards and executive management in a corporate governance role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, board portal systems (e.g., Diligent, BoardVantage), and document management tools.
