Job description

Job Purpose

The Exhibition Sales Manager will be responsible for generating multimillion-dollar business, including the optimization and growth of key accounts as well as revenue generation from new business. This role involves closing small to high-value deals across the transport value chain, from small to medium enterprise clients to large, blue-chip companies at senior management or director level.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Achieve and exceed agreed show and personal revenue and profit targets.
  2. Identify new sales opportunities (via Salesforce or research), connect, close, and develop long-term relationships.
  3. Formulate and implement effective sales strategies and tools to close deals and maximize revenue from stands and sponsorships.
  4. Negotiate deals with clients, manage contracts, and ensure compliance and satisfaction.
  5. Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  6. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their market objectives and ambitions.
  7. Prepare regular reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and market insights for senior management.
  8. Collaborate with each business to understand its aims and requirements.
  9. Work closely with other departments such as content and marketing to operate as a unified team.
  10. Attend events and liaise with exhibitor and sponsor clients onsite to ensure contract fulfillment and address concerns.
  11. Stay updated on industry developments and trends through relevant publications.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge

Strong commercial experience with a successful exhibition and sponsorship sales record. Demonstrates excellent sales skills, including lead generation, cold calling, proposal crafting, decision-maker engagement, high conversion rates, upselling, and CRM proficiency.

Minimum Experience

At least 4 years in B2B conference and exhibition sponsorship sales, in domestic or global markets.

Job-Specific Skills

Experience with ambitious sales targets, consistently meeting or exceeding them. Hard-working, persistent, proactive, honest, genuine, eager to learn and develop within the event industry.
