Job description

A leading foodservice company in the middle-east is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to be based in Dubai, UAE. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring that the company’s foodservice products are received, stored, and distributed in an efficient, safe, and compliant manner. The supervisor will lead a team of warehouse staff, coordinate with other departments, and maintain inventory control to ensure products are always available for customer orders.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping foodservice products.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food products in accordance with food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, local health regulations).
• Monitor stock levels, perform inventory counts, and ensure that stock is stored properly and is easily accessible.
• Manage the receipt of incoming goods, ensuring correct documentation, inspection, and storage of all products in the warehouse.
• Ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently to meet customer deadlines.
• Oversee the implementation of safety protocols, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe material handling procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary to prevent workplace accidents.
• Maintain compliance with all local and regional regulations regarding food handling, transportation, and warehouse operations.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, order accuracy, and shipping efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of goods received, stored, and shipped, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or supply chain environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the foodservice or food distribution industry.

Skills:

• Strong supervisory and team management abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and food safety practices.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control systems.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may involve temperature-controlled areas (e.g., cold storage).

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position, typically working in shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by operational demands.
• Must be available to work overtime when needed.
