Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Project Analysis: Review client requirements, design specifications, and site conditions to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ): Prepare detailed BOQs, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Vendor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Budget Management: Monitor project costs throughout the execution phase to ensure adherence to the budget.
2. Interior Design & Planning
- Space Planning: Develop functional and aesthetic interior layouts that align with client needs and project requirements.
- Design Development: Create detailed 2D and 3D design presentations using software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit.
- Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings that meet design and budget specifications.
- Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their vision and preferences, translating them into design concepts.
3. Project Coordination & Execution
- Site Surveys: Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary data for accurate estimation and design.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Quality Control: Oversee the implementation of designs, ensuring quality standards are met and addressing any issues promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of design plans, estimates, and project progress.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in interior design and cost estimation, preferably within the maintenance or fit-out industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) and estimation tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of materials, construction methods, and market trends.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Licensing: A valid UAE driving license is preferred for site visits and client meetings.
