Knight Frank is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking individual with a flexible attitude and a versatile skill set to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for real estate, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the commercial property market. As a Graduate Surveyor, you will be responsible for developing commercial agency business instructions, facilitating property transactions, fostering client relationships, and maximizing opportunities within the Knight Frank service line.
Responsibilities
- Understand the Knight Frank business and possess sound knowledge of this market sector.
- Obtain instructions within agreed guidelines to meet business targets.
- Network and generate business opportunities.
- Research accurately and present information professionally in writing.
- Engage in business development, set goals, and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Refer potential fee-earning opportunities to other parts of the regional and global business.
- Develop marketing strategies to promote properties to potential buyers or tenants.
- Showcase properties via online listings, office tours, presentations, and networking events, including overseeing the preparation of leasing particulars, videos, and online collateral.
- Administer procedures efficiently in carrying out business activities.
- Manage your workload effectively and support the department head.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Draft and negotiate heads of terms independently.
- Advise on the commercial aspects of lease contracts, understanding clauses affecting lease value.
- Formulate leasing strategies, including occupancy absorption and repurposing existing spaces for current and future developments.
- Report regularly to landlords and provide updates.
- Build and maintain trust and confidentiality with clients to uphold the professional image of the partnership.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure professional management of business activities.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Senior Leasing Executive, with a proven record of lease renewals, new lettings, and disposals within an existing client network of office occupiers, law firms, and professional services.
- Experience working with both tenants/occupiers and landlords.
- Strong understanding of the office market, current rents, trends, and incentives.
- Knowledge of local upcoming office supply, vacancies, and active tenants.
- International experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive and autonomous work approach.
- Motivation to succeed in a competitive environment.
- Proficiency in computer and information technology systems (including KF Internal Systems).
- Understanding regional business culture and regulations.
- Certifications such as MRICS or on the APC pathway are preferable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is advantageous.
- Flexible attitude towards travel.
