Job Purpose:
The Senior QC Engineer will oversee punch list management, reinstatement activities, and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) to ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes. The role involves close coordination with contractors, subcontractors, and ADNOC inspection teams to ensure quality compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Punch List Management:
- Review, verify, and manage the punch list for mechanical, piping, structural, and electrical systems.
- Ensure all outstanding defects are properly identified, categorized, and tracked until closure.
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and operations teams to prioritize and close punch items.
- Monitor punch list clearance progress and report delays or non-conformances.
2. Reinstatement (Site Restoration):- Supervise reinstatement activities (backfilling, paving, structural repairs, etc.) post-construction.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC CoP (Code of Practice) and project specifications.
- Verify that all reinstatement work meets HSE and quality standards.
- Conduct final inspections before handover to operations.
3. Non-Destructive Examination (NDE):- Review and approve NDE procedures (RT, UT, MT, PT, PMI, etc.) in line with ASME, API, and ADNOC standards.
- Monitor NDE technicians and ensure proper execution of tests.
- Validate welding inspection reports (WIR), NDE reports, and material certifications.
- Ensure proper document control for NDE records.
4. Quality Compliance & Reporting:- Ensure all QC activities comply with ADNOC, ISO 9001, and API/ASME standards.
- Prepare daily/weekly QC reports for punch list, reinstatement, and NDE progress.
- Conduct audits and participate in HSE/quality meetings.
- Liaise with Third-Party Inspectors (TPI) and ADNOC VRO (Vendor & Resident Inspector) as required.
5. Coordination & Handover:- Work with construction, commissioning, and project teams to facilitate smooth handover.
- Ensure as-built documentation is updated with punch list closures and reinstatement records.
- Support final dossiers preparation for project closeout.
Qualifications & Experience:- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Certifications: CSWIP 3.1, ASNT Level II (RT/UT/MT/PT), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (preferred).
- Minimum 7+ years in QC engineering, with 5+ years in ADNOC or UAE oil & gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of punch list systems (e.g., WinPCS, GoPunch), NDE techniques, and reinstatement processes.
- Familiarity with ADNOC CoP, ASME B31.3, API 650/653, and welding standards (AWS D1.1).
