Define a strategic medical plan for the pertinent therapeutic areas (including but not limited to HIV, liver diseases, antifungals, inflammation, cancer) in collaboration with the General Manager and other pertinent stakeholders
Executes strategic plans consistent with the Therapeutic Area Medical Affairs Plan of Action
Engage in scientific exchange and communication with external audiences in Gilead’s therapeutic areas of focus
Responsible for ensuring the successful dissemination of innovative clinical information to thought leaders and foster medical and scientific information exchange from and throughout the specific disease communities.
Participates in the exchange with the medical community and maintains a thought leader network
In addition to the regional Middle East components the lead may have role expansion opportunities to support wider ICR leadership needs. Such expansions could include wider geographical support or participation/ leadership in above country ICR projects
