The key objectives for this role are:

Provide expert technical oversight and assurance for corrosion management and integrity of subsea structures and infrastructure within ADNOC Offshore projects. Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, and industrial best practices aligned with IOGP and IOC frameworks. Support the development of lifetime extension strategies for brownfield subsea assets.

Expected:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Metallurgy, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years experience in corrosion engineering within the oil & gas sector.
  • Offshore experience and knowledge of topside corrosion mechanisms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC asset integrity systems and standards.
  • Strong understanding of DNV, NORSOK, ISO 13628/ 14224, Shell DEP standards.
  • Prior experience with IOC PMC setups or major EPCs preferred.
  • Certification from NACE CP Level II/ III, Icorr is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Good understanding of internal and external corrosion control methods.
  • Able to interpret inspection and monitoring results.
  • Proficient in corrosion mitigation techniques and reporting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Lead corrosion engineering input for Concept, Select inhouse engineering study, FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases.
  • Review and endorse materials selection, cathodic protection (CP) design, and corrosion protection strategies.
  • Participate in Process Safety and Asset Integrity Management, design reviews, and risk assessments with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support RBI (Risk-Based Inspection) and integrity management programs and integrity assurance plan
  • Interface with contractors to monitor design quality, ensure deliverable compliance, and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop inspection and corrosion management strategy across offshore facilities, pipelines, and structures.
  • Review corrosion mitigation strategies, including chemical injection, cathodic protection system performance, coating systems and pigging strategy.
  • Provide input to corrosion-related failures, root cause analysis, and recommendation of corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and updating of corrosion control documents and procedures.
  • Ensure all activities comply with ADNOC standards, NACE, and international codes.
