Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Investigate problems and perform repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
2. Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
3. Monitor and inspect HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
4. Install and maintain diverse heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
5. Lay out wires and pipes for HVAC systems.
6. Perform general and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
7. Ensure installations adhere to set standards.
8. Secure and connect loose wires properly.
9. Calibrate thermostats and other controls.
10. Check motors and belts, and perform lubrication duties.
11. Replace filters and worn-out parts.
12. Maintain chemical compositions in equipment.
13. Handle conduit running for HVAC equipment.
14. Order supplies or equipment needed for HVAC maintenance or installation.
15. Ensure availability of all items needed for HVAC projects.
16. Respond promptly to emergency situations to resolve issues.
17. Maintain tools and equipment.
18. Replace faulty or expired parts in HVAC systems.
19. Fabricate parts if they are not readily available.
20. Follow building policies and standards.
21. Ensure the security of the building's fire alarm system.
22. Update chilled water readings.
23. Manage building management systems (BMS).
24. Ensure proper treatment of chilled water chemicals.

Skills Required:

1. Strong ability to read and interpret instructions and safety procedures related to HVAC.
2. Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
3. Experience in handling electronic and mechanical systems effectively.
4. Technical knowledge in designing and implementing HVAC systems.
