The Personal Trainer is responsible for assessing members fitness levels, creating personalized workout plans, and guiding them through exercises to help them achieve their fitness goals. Should have a passion for fitness and a commitment to helping others live healthier lives.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness assessments to evaluate members current fitness levels, health conditions, and goals.
- Develop customized exercise programs based on member’s needs, goals, and abilities.
- Conduct fitness classes for all levels of fitness.
- Demonstrate exercises and techniques, ensuring members use proper form and technique to prevent injury.
- Motivate and inspire members to reach their fitness goals through personalized coaching and support.
- Monitor members progress and adjust exercise programs as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
- Provide information and guidance on nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle changes.
- Maintain a clean and safe workout environment by sanitizing equipment and enforcing facility policies.
- Stay informed about current fitness trends and research to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities and workshops to maintain certification and stay updated on industry standards.
Qualifications And Skills Required
- Certification from a recognized fitness organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM) or equivalent experience.
- Certification in group classes from a recognized fitness organization.
- Previous experience as a personal trainer or fitness instructor minimum of 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, anatomy, and nutrition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals.
- CPR and first aid certification (may be required depending on location).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Able to teach one on one and in a group setting.
