Corporate Business Development Director - Dubai & Northern Emirates

A leading full service construction consultancy requires a Corporate Business Development Director to develop, coordinate, and manage the overall business development strategy in Dubai & Northern Emirates with a view of growing existing business lines and, subject to feasibility, expand the business into new specialities. At present, the remit of the Corporate Development Director shall cover Dubai & Northern Emirates.

Responsibilities
  1. Grow business lines and deliver on measurable achievements of backlog growth, year-on-year.
  2. Develop, monitor, manage, and update the Corporate Business Development Strategy (CBDS) for Dubai & Northern Emirates. The CBDS shall set-out a cross-divisional strategy which will provide for strategically positioning with a view of maximizing growth in key market sectors. The CBDS shall be led by the Corporate Development Director, with input from each of the respective Divisions.
  3. Lead and seek out new opportunities and new clients for all business lines, including identification of potential partners where appropriate.
  4. Assist in consolidating reputation and relationship with existing preferred clients with the aim of securing repeat business, preferably on a negotiated basis.
  5. Obtain and maintain from Directors, Managers, and Heads of Departments, a complete list of existing Clients in Dubai & Northern Emirates, with current state of relationship. The Corporate Development Director will strive to enhance and complement the existing relationship owned and maintained by the respective Divisions’ leaders.
  6. Produce monthly business development reports, including relevant business development performance ratios (success/failure rate for tenders, etc), covering all Divisional activities.
  7. Produce monthly opportunity tracking reports, covering all Divisional activities.
  8. Produce written and oral reports.
Qualifications
  1. Commercially oriented, with progressive business development, sales experience in construction consultancy.
  2. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  3. Should be highly flexible & adaptable and able to work effectively with a multicultural workforce.
  4. Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  5. Proven track record in Business Development and Building lasting business relationships.
  6. GCC experience is a must.
