Carpenter cum Polisher vacancy in Dubai UAE

We are looking for a qualified Carpenter to reduce, fabricate and set up wood and various other structures according to specifications. Your job will entail operating in varied setups to generate stable and practical infrastructure and products.

A Carpenter is a person with wonderful hand mastery and an eye for detail. The suitable prospect will also have great knowledge of timber properties and other carpentry products. Working with little guidance while following all health and safety requirements is necessary. The objective is to contribute to the building and maintenance of strong and lasting buildings and products.

Responsibilities

1. Check out blueprints, drawings and illustrations to completely realize requirements.
2. Take measurements and compute the size and quantity of material needed.
3. Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g. fiberglass) according to dimensions.
4. Develop window frames, doors, stairs and frame buildings by utilizing resources or pre-constructed items.
5. Lay out floor coverings, roofs or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and suitable.
6. Carve and assemble furniture, closets, shelves and other items and install them where marked.
7. Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.
8. Build scaffolding and other building structures.

Requirements and Skills

1. Proven experience as a carpenter.
2. Hands-on experience in dealing with carpentry products.
3. Excellent understanding of carpentry methods and approaches of installation and construction.
4. Proficient in operating electric and manual equipment and measuring tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.).
5. Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
6. Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
7. Excellent knowledge of English.
8. Good understanding of basic math.
9. Great physical condition and endurance.

Job Type: Permanent

Income: Up to AED 1,500.00 monthly

Capability to commute/relocate: Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to transfer prior to starting job (Required).
