Summary
Customer Service
  • Assist in ensuring that department employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
  • Ensure that employees also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
  • Handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries courteously and efficiently, following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
Financial
  • Maximize employee productivity through multi-skilling, multi-tasking, and flexible scheduling to meet financial goals and guest expectations.
  • Focus on improving productivity levels and managing utility/payroll costs within acceptable guidelines, ensuring energy efficiency of all equipment.
  • Embrace new technology and equipment to enhance productivity and streamline work processes.
  • Assist in leading daily operations of the engineering department, including maintenance and repairs of rides, slides, pools, and water systems.
  • Perform routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of water quality in pools, attractions, and water features.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance and water quality testing areas.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and testing devices are in good condition and report issues to the Engineering Manager.
  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and system reliability.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance and water quality issues, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and water quality tests.
Personnel
  • Supervise department employees, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Oversee punctuality, appearance, and hygiene standards of employees.
  • Develop employee skills through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Assist in training employees to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Supervise staff to maintain service standards as per the Departmental Operations Manual.
  • Support the implementation of The People Brand, reinforcing the park's values and culture.
  • Ensure employees understand and follow rules, regulations, and safety policies.
Other Duties
  • Adhere to employee rules, fire, hygiene, health, and safety policies.
  • Report punctually for duty, wearing proper uniform and nametag.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Build good rapport with staff across departments.
  • Attend staff meetings, training, and related activities.
  • Support departmental trainers.
  • Undertake tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager.
  • Respond to departmental changes as required.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and exercise self-control.
  • Understand the Department Operations Manual and policies.
Occasional Duties
  • Assist with inventory of maintenance and water testing supplies and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of engineering maintenance experience in a water park, preferably in the GCC.
  • Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, filtration, and pump systems.
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing maintenance projects.
  • Strong proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, including data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
