Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Site Engineer (Structural) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the structural aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  1. Interpret structural drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to guide construction activities.
  2. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure structural work meets design requirements and quality standards.
  3. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to resolve structural issues and optimize designs.
  4. Perform structural calculations and analysis to support onsite decision-making.
  5. Prepare and review technical reports, including structural assessments and progress updates.
  6. Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  7. Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to implement structural elements of the project.
  8. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential risks and proposing solutions.
  9. Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in construction sites.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other structural design software.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, building codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound engineering judgments.
  • Experience in project management and coordination.
  • Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE.
  • Willingness to work onsite in various weather conditions.
