IT Executive – Systems & Infrastructure
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly professional and experienced
IT Executive to support and manage our office and site-wide IT operations. The ideal candidate must have strong technical skills, hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure, and working knowledge of
SAP and Microsoft systems. The individual will be responsible for maintaining IT systems, providing user support, enforcing security protocols, and ensuring alignment of IT operations with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
User Support & Operations
- Provide timely and effective support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Assist users in troubleshooting and guide them through resolution steps with a high level of professionalism.
- Efficiently manage, prioritize, and resolve support tickets using a helpdesk/ticketing system.
- Assist with IT onboarding of new employees and offboarding of departing staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and user interactions.
System & Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and maintain all IT equipment including desktops, laptops, servers, network printers, and mobile devices.
- Manage Microsoft Office 365, Intune, and Entra ID for the organization.
- Maintain and administer on-premises server environments and wired/wireless network infrastructure across all Gulfa sites.
- Manage and administer company SharePoint sites, user permissions, and data security policies.
- Support and administer Avaya IP telephony PBX systems and associated services.
- Administer and maintain CCTV infrastructure across all company locations.
- Support and maintain point-to-point VPN tunneling and enforce network security standards.
- Propose upgrades, configure patches, and recommend replacement of end-of-life devices.
Security & Compliance
- Deploy and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
- Support the implementation of ITIL-based practices to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
- Manage IT asset tracking, issuance, and inventory control.
- Maintain proper records for company SIM cards, mobile phone allocations, and credit card payment terminals.
Vendor & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, technical support, and project implementation.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely resolution of IT-related queries and services.
- Suggest and support procurement of new IT equipment based on business requirements.
- Participate in and support ongoing/upcoming IT projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
Performance & Reliability
- Provide IT support during both working and non-working hours as needed.
- Ensure minimal downtime during system upgrades or hardware/software failures.
- Suggest improvements in IT procedures and infrastructure to enhance performance and reduce costs.
- Recommend and implement cost-cutting initiatives while maintaining service reliability.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support or administration roles in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Windows Server environments, Intune, and basic SAP support.
- Hands-on experience with firewall/VPN configurations (preferably SonicWall), telephony, and CCTV systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and helpdesk systems.
- Experience managing hybrid environments (cloud + on-premise).
- Ability to lead or support small to medium-scale IT projects.
