Job summary

Amlak Finance PJSC is seeking an experienced IT Manager to set the technology vision and manage the IT function. Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities :

Managerial

  • Develop and implement long and short-term IT strategy and initiatives to support the company's objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
  • Set the department’s goals and objectives and ensure their cascade to the team, guiding their achievement.
  • Establish and update the department’s policies, procedures and processes and ensure adherence.
  • Identify the human resource requirements of the department and provide recommendations on levels of rewards and career progression for the team members.

Functional

  • Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and IT best practices.
  • Proactively collaborate with other departments to identify and address their technology needs.
  • Oversee allocation of IT resources for adequate provisioning of IT services.
  • Oversee the acquisition and management of relevant and up-to-date IT Infrastructure (hardware, software, networks, security) to support AMLAK’s operations.
  • Oversee the development and enforcement of IT standards, policies and procedures that ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability and security of corporate data and information.
  • Oversee compliance of the Legal, Statutory, Information Security and Regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of IT risk management strategies, controls and the mitigation processes.
  • Review IT performance against targets, analyse the cause of any deviations, and initiate remedial action to address the underlying causes while maintaining the company’s IT vision, strategy, plans and IT governance framework.
  • Continually review and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the department and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain the IT Risk Register.
  • Optimize IT resources through implementation of latest technologies and processes.
  • Oversee the implementation of quality standards while delivering the service / projects to IT’s Customers.
  • Oversee and support the IT function in AMLAK’s subsidiaries / sister companies, if any.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience of IT especially in the Real Estate sector (preferably in investment / development space), Core Banking Applications (desirable), ERP, CRM and Infrastructure management, with minimum 6 years of leadership / managerial experience.

  • Business Continuity Management
  • PMP Certification
  • Excellent IT planning, change enablement and management skills.
  • Awareness of the latest IT and Cloud applications
