Job Description

Roles include: Internal - System Quality Manager, Sub-system Manager, Depot Manager. External - Clients or their representatives, external suppliers.

Responsibilities for Failures and Retrofit Activities
  • Perform quality control activities for the rolling stock retrofit scope.
  • Conduct fleet-wide inspections according to defined containment actions and monitoring scope.
  • Maintain all quality control records for retrofit activities and fleet-wide containment actions.
  • Ensure documentation updates for all retrofit and fleet-wide inspections.
  • Manage the traceability matrix showing planned versus completed retrofit works.
  • Ensure calibration of all working tools and maintain the register.
  • Be familiar with special processes like torque tightening.
  • Verify the validity of tools, materials, and chemicals used daily by the RSK team.
  • Report any non-conformities observed during daily activities to the Quality and Subsystem Managers and follow up until closure.

Initiate repair loops by reporting NCRs for hardware failures via the online Alstom supplier portal and follow up for supplier inputs for final closure.

Attend internal meetings with the Quality and Subsystem Managers to provide updates on daily activities.

For Punch/Snag List Closure
  • Perform internal inspections to ensure punch/snag items are closed before inviting the customer.
  • Conduct inspections with the customer for final acceptance of punch/snag items on site.
  • Update the rolling stock punch list daily.
  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for punch/snag list closure internally and with the customer.
Qualifications

Educational requirements: University Degree in Technical, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.

Technical Knowledge & Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality within the railway industry; rolling stock experience is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001) and quality tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word).
  • Fluent in English.

Desired roles: RSY Quality Manager, Rolling Stock Quality Control Inspector.
