Job Description

We are seeking a Manager - Merchant Acquiring Sales to acquire new merchants for merchant acquiring products/solutions and manage relationships with mid-size and large merchants. The role involves enhancing the efficiency of Business Development Executives (BDEs) and Managers (BDMs) through rigorous activity tracking, optimizing merchant application processing, and removing non-value-adding tasks. The incumbent will collaborate with the Merchant Product, Service, and Portfolio Management teams to gather feedback, monitor market developments, and develop corrective action plans to improve service delivery.

What You Will Be Doing
  1. Manage BDEs and BDMs daily, overseeing activities, leads, and customer engagement; coach and guide sales staff.
  2. Review and align sales incentive mechanisms and plans with business targets, ensuring fairness and motivation.
  3. Ensure comprehensive sales and product training for the sales team.
  4. Attend to merchant inquiries, facilitate new merchant applications, and develop merchant relationships.
  5. Implement strategic plans for new programs, solutions, and merchant growth.
  6. Resolve problems and escalate issues appropriately.
  7. Generate merchant metrics, ensure data accuracy, and meet reporting deadlines.
  8. Drive portfolio growth through merchant acquisition, sales, and relationship management activities.
  9. Identify areas for onboarding and application processing improvements.
  10. Coordinate with sales teams and internal departments to meet operational and compliance standards.
What We Are Looking For
  • University degree or equivalent; MBA preferred.
  • 8-15 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in merchant acquiring or payments industry.
  • Experience in UAE or GCC markets is essential.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
