The Elevator Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing elevators, escalators, and lifts in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This hands-on role requires mechanical and electrical expertise to ensure the safety, functionality, and compliance of vertical transport systems. The technician must perform routine inspections, troubleshoot technical issues, and adhere to safety standards at all times.

Responsibilities

1. Install and assemble elevator systems according to blueprints and specifications.
2. Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on lifts and escalators.
3. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
4. Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety.
5. Replace or upgrade worn-out components such as cables, motors, and controllers.
6. Respond to emergency breakdown calls and provide timely resolution.
7. Maintain service logs and complete job reports.
8. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
9. Liaise with clients, contractors, and engineers as needed.
10. Stay updated on new elevator technologies and servicing techniques.

Requirements

1. Diploma or certification in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
