Job Purpose
To work in the assigned area of Payroll accounting and related transactions/reports. To prepare / review various accounting statements as per the need of the business, schedules, and records and to calculate accurate wages and deposit the amounts in employee's bank accounts or issue checks.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensures that payroll, compensation and benefits are accurately calculated / reported / submitted / paid as per the company's policies and local government regulations, for multiple countries.
- Controls and maintains payroll administration in coordination with HR Department.
- Performs calculations for payroll related Taxes.
- Reviews and responds to payroll inquiries while adhering to critical deadlines.
- Ensure that the ERP system reflects the actual picture of employee payroll and benefits.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for management / authorities.
- Adhere to local laws related to payroll and taxation (social insurance, payroll tax, etc.)
- Assuring external Audit requirements are fulfilled as per the deadlines agreed with the Auditors.
- Making sure all Internal Audit requirements are fulfilled as per the company's guidelines.
- Adhere with the Internal Control policies and procedures.
- Provide information for ICV (UAE), Local Content (KSA) and other regulatory regional requirements.
- Making sure employee benefits are accurately recorded in the ERP system and all schedules are readily available for internal for both Internal & External Audit requirements. (gratuity, leaves, bonus, air tickets, etc.)
- Support ERP and HR teams for the implementation of new HRMS from a Finance perspective.
- Manage subordinate tasks, deadlines and training, whenever required.
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Consults with management team for the integration of consistent payroll policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies, and standards.
- Ensure all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services, and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
- Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
Qualifications, Experiences, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting &/or any equivalent professional qualification.
- 6-8 years related working experience.
- Experience in handling payroll for 1000+ employees within UAE / GCC is mandatory.
- Experience of performing payroll review, accounting and reporting from Finance side is mandatory.
- Should have experience handing ICV (UAE), Local Content (KSA) desirable but not mandatory.
- Should have experience in handling External and Internal Audit payroll related requirements mandatory
- Communication skills, Payroll Accounting and Management, advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with payroll related taxes is desired.
- ERP experience is mandatory. Experience in Oracle, Microsoft D365 will be an advantage.
- Ability to handle payroll without supervision.
- Familiarity with Local payroll related laws is highly desirable.
