Job description

Position Overview

The Invoicing Engineer will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction contracts, including payment certification, cost reporting, and financial forecasting to ensure accurate payment processing and financial control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify contractor payment applications against contract requirements
  • Prepare interim and final payment certificates
  • Analyze and validate quantity measurements and valuations
  • Process contractual financial adjustments, including variations and price fluctuations
  • Coordinate with project teams to resolve payment disputes
  • Maintain comprehensive financial records and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Professional certification in quantity surveying or cost engineering preferred
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in construction cost management and payment certification for large-scale projects
  • Understanding of contract payment mechanisms
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Additional Skills

  • Experience with financial auditing processes
  • Understanding of tax implications in construction contracts
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly
  • Adaptability to fulfill Contract Administrator or Change Management Engineer roles when required
  • Proven experience in mega construction projects
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to work in a multinational environment
  • Competence in Microsoft Office suite and relevant specialized software
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs
  • Commitment to professional development and keeping current with industry standards
  • Working under the direction of and reporting directly to the Site Contracts Manager
