Job description

Supply Chain Officer

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Job Responsibilities
  1. Implement good procurement practices in line with best purchasing standards.
  2. Evaluate and select vendors and contractors; monitor and report on supplier performance.
  3. Identify departmental purchasing needs; review and analyze RFQs submitted by departments.
  4. Negotiate contract terms and pricing.
  5. Issue purchase orders (PO) following company policy.
  6. Track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  7. Review quality of purchased products.
  8. Maintain updated records of deliveries, invoices, and purchase data.
  9. Enter order details (vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
  10. Monitor stock levels; coordinate with store staff for proper storage.
  11. Assess and resolve issues related to transportation, customer problems, import/export, and logistics systems.
  12. Provide logistical support for inbound and outbound shipments, including safety and quality assurance.
  13. Maintain detailed logistics data for reports, including usage metrics and customer issues.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Minimum Requirements
  • Knowledge of supply chain and customs requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and technical research tools.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and analytical skills.
