Supply Chain Officer
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Job Responsibilities
- Implement good procurement practices in line with best purchasing standards.
- Evaluate and select vendors and contractors; monitor and report on supplier performance.
- Identify departmental purchasing needs; review and analyze RFQs submitted by departments.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing.
- Issue purchase orders (PO) following company policy.
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Review quality of purchased products.
- Maintain updated records of deliveries, invoices, and purchase data.
- Enter order details (vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
- Monitor stock levels; coordinate with store staff for proper storage.
- Assess and resolve issues related to transportation, customer problems, import/export, and logistics systems.
- Provide logistical support for inbound and outbound shipments, including safety and quality assurance.
- Maintain detailed logistics data for reports, including usage metrics and customer issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of supply chain and customs requirements.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and technical research tools.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and analytical skills.
