Job Description

We are seeking an MEP Senior Cost Manager to join our busy Dubai team, supporting clients across various sectors. The role focuses on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) deliverables within larger projects.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, client-facing, and capable of managing multiple projects and clients. Responsibilities include establishing early budgets, estimating, cost planning, managing design teams to budgets, tendering, procurement, and post-contract reporting. The role may also involve managing other Assistant and Senior Cost Managers within the MEP team.

A thorough knowledge of MEP systems and supply chain processes is essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively and robustly with main contractors and MEP supply chains.

Key Accountabilities

1. Commission Management, including feasibility studies, procurement reports, estimating, cost planning, tendering, procurement, and managing cost variances and change control processes.
2. Cost checks and valuations on projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
3. Producing and presenting monthly post-contract cost reports.
4. Contributing to value engineering and negotiating final accounts.
5. Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages.
6. Leading a cost management team where appropriate to ensure delivery of responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in delivering high-quality cost management or quantity surveying services across the project lifecycle.
• Professional qualification (MRICS or similar) or working towards it.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in delivering MEP elements for clients.
• Knowledge of and contacts within the MEP supply chain.
• Proficiency with digital software for cost management.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication skills, both client-facing and team-oriented.
• UAE experience is advantageous.
