Job description

General Description

  • Drive the overall growth of Equities, Structured Products and Derivatives business for the Dubai branch by being the primary contact for key stakeholders of the Bank.
  • Dedicated Equities, Structured Products and Derivatives advisory resource to do joint calls and meetings with end clients.
  • Proactive advisory solutions for internal sales force and end clients, with the objectives of providing value-added service to optimize portfolio performance, risk and profitability.
  • Deliver key financial metrics and adhere to risk & control guidelines for the business.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Advisory
  • Originate actionable investment ideas in line with Bank of Singapore research views, while integrating market knowledge and flows.
  • Work closely with the Equities and Structured Products teams in Singapore and Hong Kong to generate advisory content for Bank of Singapore.
  • Effective communication with relevant market information and investment ideas to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Drive business initiatives and process changes for Equities, Structured Products and Derivatives in the Dubai branch.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with front office sales teams and provide presentations and training where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable internal and regulatory policies and procedures including the cross-border guidelines.
  • Client Interaction
  • Design suitable customized financial solutions for clients in accordance with client stated investment objectives and risk appetite, in collaboration with the Relationship Manager. Communicate / explain the recommended investments and related risks effectively if required.
  • Apply sales techniques and relationship building skills to promote client engagement and investment activity in the specific asset classes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable internal and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Special Duties
  • Drive relevant Investment Advisory Solutions IAS initiatives for equities, structured products and derivatives in Dubai.
  • Facilitate and support business from other branches during Dubai time zone.
  • Champion market-specific business needs e.g., trainings, conferences or client events.

Work Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to understand fundamental and technical factors affecting the asset class.
  • Prior experience working with relationship managers and high net worth trading clients is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
