The Head of Contract Logistics in the United Arab Emirates has the overall responsibility for managing the Contract Logistics department. As a Head of CL, you will be responsible for the P&L of all the Hellmann entity operations, along with implementing strategic and operational objectives related to the growth of Contract Logistics.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop strong internal relationships and work within a matrix organization.
- Close collaboration and relationship development with UAE stakeholders.
- Provide leadership to all operations under your responsibility.
- Develop strong relationships with customers across the country (existing and potential).
- Develop and lead contract logistics business development to ensure year-on-year growth.
- Develop business plans and solutions for new opportunities or concepts that may materialize.
- Develop strong relationships with the regional contract logistics team.
- Provide strategic input to the future development of contract logistics in UAE.
- Work in line with and roll out global CL strategies into the UAE.
- Ensure all operations are in line with Hellmann compliance policies.
- Adapt and think in line with different industry vertical solutions.
- Provide expertise to support the personal development of all team members.
- Make decisions on the sourcing and negotiation of new warehouse premises.
- Control and develop procurement strategies.
SKILLS :
- Be a transparent leader and continually share experience and knowledge.
- Ability to monitor, control, and improve P&L for Contract Logistics.
- Detailed financial knowledge of cost structures and fees.
- Recognize potential bottlenecks and risks to the business and work with teams on mitigations.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills on multiple levels to ensure goals are met.
- Ability to technically execute quotations for extensive warehouse operations based on RFQ.
- Detailed warehousing knowledge for processes, infrastructure, IT solutions, and resources.
- Strong expertise and experience within the CL division.
- Ability to deliver solutions through presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, preferably in Logistics.
- Significant experience in Contract Logistics within a senior leadership role (5-10 years), ideally experienced in both operations and business development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
