We’re searching for an experienced Financial Controller for a thriving local business in Dubai.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Ensure effective Treasury and Working Capital Management to maximize liquidity, while mitigating operational or financial risk.
- Ensure compliance with Statutory and other External Audit/Review requirements.
- Lead monthly reviews with Group Directors and report on exceptional items to the Executive Board in the monthly reviews.
- Ensure timely completion and circulation of monthly management reports, budgets, and quarterly forecasts.
- Lead financial due diligence for all new strategic initiatives proposed by the Executive Board.
- Co-ordinate with the Executive Board and Group Directors to facilitate continuous improvement of MIS, identifying and reporting on areas for profit maximization and/or cost reduction.
- Quarterly Strategic Pricing Review.
- Oversee insurance function to ensure effective management of the Company’s insurance portfolio, involving all aspects of underwriting, risk management, contracts, and claims recovery.
- Work closely with other business units and the Business Development managers to explore BPO opportunities for Accounting and Finance.
- Assist direct reports to develop in their positions through coaching/mentoring.
Minimum Requirements:
- CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with 15 years PQE.
- 5 years spent as FC in a large MNC.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a good, well-known university.
- Strong, dynamic personality.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- A confident public speaker.
- Team leader.
- Outstanding commercial awareness.
