Financial Controller

We’re searching for an experienced Financial Controller for a thriving local business in Dubai.

Responsibilities include the following:

1. Ensure effective Treasury and Working Capital Management to maximize liquidity, while mitigating operational or financial risk.
2. Ensure compliance with Statutory and other External Audit/Review requirements.
3. Lead monthly reviews with Group Directors and report on exceptional items to the Executive Board in the monthly reviews.
4. Ensure timely completion and circulation of monthly management reports, budgets, and quarterly forecasts.
5. Lead financial due diligence for all new strategic initiatives proposed by the Executive Board.
6. Co-ordinate with the Executive Board and Group Directors to facilitate continuous improvement of MIS, identifying and reporting on areas for profit maximization and/or cost reduction.
7. Quarterly Strategic Pricing Review.
8. Oversee insurance function to ensure effective management of the Company’s insurance portfolio, involving all aspects of underwriting, risk management, contracts, and claims recovery.
9. Work closely with other business units and the Business Development managers to explore BPO opportunities for Accounting and Finance.
10. Assist direct reports to develop in their positions through coaching/mentoring.

Minimum Requirements:

1. CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with 15 years PQE.
2. 5 years spent as FC in a large MNC.
3. Bachelor's or Master's degree from a good, well-known university.
4. Strong, dynamic personality.
5. Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
6. A confident public speaker.
7. Team leader.
8. Outstanding commercial awareness.
