Job summary

A growing business in the renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to act as a Finance Business Partner. This role involves bridging finance and operations, leading budgeting and forecasting, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing a finance team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance, extensive experience in the UAE, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience, with at least 3 years in the UAE.
  • Strong commercial understanding with proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job description

Our client, a growing business in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager who can operate as a true Finance Business Partner. This role bridges the gap between finance and operations, playing a key role in driving performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring financial integrity.

Role Overview

You will work closely with operational teams to interpret financial data, provide commercial insights, to support business growth. You will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, maintain financial controls, ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, and manage a small finance team.

This is not a back-office accounting role, it requires a commercially minded finance professional who is confident influencing operational decisions and adding value across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to the operations team, translating financial data into meaningful reports
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Oversee the month-end close process, management reporting, and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements
  • Provide financial input on business cases, investments, and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Strengthen internal financial controls and maintain adherence to IFRS
  • Manage and mentor a small finance team
  • Communicate financial performance and risks to senior stakeholders clearly and confidently

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with a recognised qualification (CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA)
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience, with at least 3 years in the UAE
  • Strong commercial understanding with proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, reporting, and team leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
